Panchkula. The students of Vijay Public Smart School, Sector 17, visited Mapple Adventure camp near Naina Devi and Virasat-e- Khalsa. The trip was specially planned for students and teachers of class IV to VIII. Various adventure activities like trekking, wall climbing, rappelling, burma bridge, flying fox lightened up the energetic students.The activities gave the students an opportunity to learn different virtues, such as leadership, team spirit, social consciousness and school spirit. The serenity of the environment and communion with nature gave them time to introspect, appreciate the power of silence and reflect. At Virasat-e- Khalsa the students were made aware about the Sikh history and the role they played in the struggle for freedom. They returned from the trip, enriched with experiential learning, greater understanding, new aspirations, nostalgic memories and rejuvenated.
