The British School enacted short scenes of the epic ‘Ramayana’

Panchkula. Students of The British School, Panchkula showcased an exemplary performance today when they portrayed the characters and enacted short scenes of the epic ‘Ramayana’.

Students of Class 6 to 8 started with the birth of Lord Rama, how the ‘Swayamvar’ of Goddess Sita took place and then they proceeded for their exile period. Students dramatized the part where Bharat returns to Ayodhya and finds his brother gone. Then they enacted the episode of Sita’s kidnapping. Children staged the scenes where Lord Ram searches for Goddess Sita with the help of Shri Hanuman. They were excited to showcase the fight between Lord Ram and Ravana.

Students looked fabulous dressed in the beautiful attires. They wholehearted participated in the event and learnt about the different chapters of ‘Ramayana’.

Students of classes 1 to 4 also portrayed individual characters of ‘Ramayana’. They came dressed as Jatayu, Shabri, Mandodri, Laxman and carried different props for the activity.

School Director, Ms.Geetika Sethi said, “Such activities will help the children know about their culture and traditions. Students will come to know how ultimately it is the victory of good over evil.”
