The British School, celebrated birthday of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru

Panchkula. As the saying goes ‘There’s a child in each one of us’.  Children’s Day holds a special place for everyone. Around 800 students and teachers of The British School, Panchkula celebrated the occasion and the birthday of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru with utmost joy and excitement.

The whole week was dedicated to the happiness and creativity of the students and their teachers.  The week began with the Relay and Hurdle races for classes I to V along with the Treasure Hunt for the seniors (VI to XII), Word Building, Riddles, Lemon and Spoon Race etc.  Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the students of Primary Section in which they were dressed up as their favorite characters and role models. It was a delight to see these students portray what they want to be.

Importance and significance of this important day was also explained to the students. The teachers put up a special cultural program for the students much to their delight. It was a week happily spent and children went back with great memories.
