Students taught to eat healthy at The British School

Panchkula -The students of Play way, Nursery and kindergarten of The British School, Sec-8 Panchkula were encouraged to include healthy food items in their daily diet. The School Director, Mr. Sanjay Sethi appreciated the efforts of the educators and said that such activites help the little kids to know how fruits and vegetables help them to grow strong and healthy. Students learnt how different fruits vegetables and healthy food can help them fight off disease. Shaurya Dang and Aarohi Jain of Play way identified the different fruits and vegetables and their of almonds, walnuts and rasins. Vivan Joshi, Aradhak, Yahvi and Ananya spoke about the nutrition factor of colourful fruits and vegetables. Omkar Singh, Praneel and Keisha Badola recited a poem on rice, wheat and pulses. The educators also sensitized the children about the importance of dairy products and how these food groups help them to grow tall and strong. The activity was focused on the benefits of choosing healthy food groups and shunning unhealthy food like ketchup, chips, cold drink and fried food.
