This years Annual Report by the Management focused on the importance that the company lays on its rating across multiple public online portals. Mr Aggarwal stated with pride that all outlets of Pallavi Hotels & Resorts are rated 4 or above on the leading portal Zomato, which is a rare feat even for the branded luxury hotels. Also, the companys flagship 72 room Tower Hotel, Pallavi aVIDA, has once again been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by leading travel portal This is fourth time that this certificate has been awarded in just seven years of the operation of the hotel.
The last year saw a major turnaround for the groups second hotel in Panchkula, namely Hotel Pallavi West at Sector 16. In August 2017, the hotel was torched during the violence of Dera Saccha Sauda. This came as a blessing in disguise for the group as it led to the birth of the tricitys most eclectic café lounge, named Falcon at Hotel Pallavi West in Panchkula. The lounges popularity has grown manifold in just six months of its operations and It has enjoyed a very high rating of 4.4 or above on Zomato for the last four months. The turnaround story can aptly be christened a fairy tale as Hotel Pallavi West is now enthralled by the Pitter Patter of tiny feet, their giggles and smiles at the largest and first-of-its-kind Indoor Playground for Kids in the tricity region, named Pitter Patter. Located at the basement below Falcon Café Lounge, Pitter Patter has been set up like an outdoor park within the safe haven of an indoor wellprotected space. The combination of Falcon Lounge and Pitter Patter is a like a God-send for parents who can enjoy at the lively café while their kids are busy playing their tricks at their favorite indoor playground. Aggarwal made particular mention of the companys endeavors to give back to the society over the years. The Annual On the Spot Painting Competition, which is held for school students of the tricity saw a participation of 500 students from tricity and schools beyond tricity last year. The winning students are awarded cash prizes, mementoes, certificates and food coupons. Further, he mentioned that Pallavi also gives out food coupons worth Rs. 5 Lakhs every year to students of Class X and XII who secure above 90% in their Board Examinations as well as to college students who secure above 75% in their final examinations for the year. These two traditions have been followed since the very inception of Pallavi in 1997. Mr. Aggarwal also stated with pride that two unique CSR initiatives were running successfully. He talked about the unique association with the Industrial Training Institute, Panchkula, wherein the Pallavi team grooms the ITI students pursuing diploma at the institute under two trades i.e. Craftsman Food Production and F&B Service. Many of the students have even enjoyed the rare opportunity to train in Mumbai and serve foreign travelers on a routine basis. The Pallavi teams efforts have been successful in helping these under privileged ITI students get placed at renonwned hotels across India and even abroad. Rajeev Bedi, Director Operations was in high praise of the senior management for the importance it gives to welfare of its staff by providing the best possible facilities available in the hospitality industry. In his view, such efforts boost the moral and encouragement of staff to give better result-oriented performance and show loyalty and belongingness to the organization. He also confirmed that the now-blockbuster and Pallavi trademark Pay Once Enjoy Twice is on offer for the entire month as part of the Anniversary Celebrations at LAMHE, KRONKS Bar (Hotel Pallavi, Sec 5, Pkl) and Falcon Café and Lounge (Pallavi West, Sec 16, Pkl).
