The students of The British School today happily took the opportunity to show their immense love for their mothers, on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
Around 100 mothers participated on this day which was filled with a variety of activities for the mothers and their kids. The Chairperson of the school, Ms. Urmila Sethi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The day started a cooking competition on the theme” Potato is the King”. A variety of summer drinks were prepared by the mothers using mint as the main ingredient. The enthusiastic participants surprised everyone with their culinary talents by preparing mouth watering delicacies. Entries were judged on the basis of creativity, nutrition, taste and presentation.
Tambola Times saw everyone geared up for the game and cheering for the winners. Children were excited to be playing the game with their mommies.
Mothers and their little models endeared the audience with their adorable looks and dresses, which was yet enhanced by various other elements like the stage setup, light effects and last but definitely not the least… foot-tapping music in the background.
Mommies post the activities, thanked the teachers for the love and warmth their children receive from the school’s end. They said that teacher is like the child’s second mother who takes care of him in the school.
Speaking on the occasion, School Director, Ms. Geetika Sethi said, “Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of children. These programmes give an opportunity to the mothers to spend some time with their babies and to indulge in some ‘Me’ time.”
