Gurukul Global School celebrated its Junior Annual Show- “Umang”

Chandigarh. The Junior students of Gurukul Global School presented a colourful & mesmerising cultural show ‘Umang’. This yearly celebration was all the more enthusiastically presented as the school has completed its ten years of embarking existence. The underlining theme of the show was the inevitable change – The change from good to best and best to better but which keeps going on – everything be it nature, relationships, society or the nations undergo change. The students of the classes I to V had the audience glued to their seats when they showcased how the human beings have deteriorated the environments and relationships and how the humans only have the capability to infuse and enlighten the whole universe with love compassion, & understanding.

The Gliterrati for the day included – Sh. Khushwant Singh (State Information Commission- Punjab) and the Guest of Honour was Sh. Harjeet Singh who capatained the 2016 winning Hockey Junior World Cup Team. A press conference was organized before the function to know about the life , hardships & achievements of Sh. Harjeet Singh.  Also present to bless the students on the occasion, were the School President Mrs. Neena Setya, Chariman Dr. V.D Singh and M.D Mr. Parveen Setya. Principal Mrs. Urvashi Kakkar presented the Annual School report.

Indradhanush Stadium, Panchkula reverberated with the applause and pride that the parents projected when their wards were awarded with special awards and recognition. Fifty one students received the awards.

This day would be etched in the minds of the Globalites as each one them put in lots and lots of hardwork and dedication to make the event successful.
