DRUG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN BY DC MODEL SCHOOL

Panchkula: In order to sensitize the students against drug abuse, the teachers and students of DC Model Sr. Sec. School took initiative by holding a rally and participating in various other activities whole heartedly. The aim of the campaign was to make people aware of the fatal effects of taking  drugs. A special assembly was conducted where the students were apprised of the ill effects of drugs through a power point presentation. The Director of the school, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta himself shared some experiences with the students and motivated them to take a vow not to indulge in such activities and further encouraged them to be an active member of this campaign throughout their life. Later the students took a rally in nearby places by carrying slogans and charts persuading people to remain away from such things. Students also went for signature campaign asking people to shun such habits like smoking and drinking. The primary wing of the school did not fail to contribute their participation in this campaign. They made posters and cards which were later given to the people in the nearby places who indulge in these activities. The Coordinator, Mrs. Deepika Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts of all the teachers and students who participated in the campaign to spread the message at larger scale. The director Sir informed the students that the campaign will remain a part of the school programme throughout the year.
