Counselling Session organised at The British School

british schoolPanchkula: Around 100 students of Classes VII to X today attended a Counselling Session organised at The British School, Panchkula. Mr. Punit Kathuria, an alumnus from Punjab University sensitized the students about different career choices. He discussed the common issues and concerns students face these days and what are the best possible solutions for the same.

He guided the students on what are the parameters to be considered while selecting a career and how their dreams can be realized. He also apprised the children about the career options available these days.

Khushi Sethi of Class VII asked Mr.Punit Kathuria if they should just study all the time to achieve their dreams. He told the students that excellence need not always be in terms of marks, but in other arenas too. Mr.Kathuria told the students to pursue their hobbies with the same zeal as their studies to develop confidence in them. He also said that having hands on experience and practical knowledge of things is equally important for the children of today.

School Principal, Ms.Anita Mehra addressed the students and advised them to take guidance from such sessions.

School Director, Ms.Geetika Sethi said, “Schools keep evolving and exploring new policies and strategies to help prepare students for tomorrow. That is why in our school, students are given exposure to real world professionals.”
